Is the "they" above for IDP or for the Congressmen? Rep. Dent suggested that he'd pursue additional steps to force compliance but my interpretation of Rep. Jackson-Lee's response is that Dent has to go through the committee chair and if he isn't receptive to the idea then Dent is hosed. IDP can do it, I suppose, but there is real money involved and I'm guessing they aren't rolling around in dough.

"In the future I would ask that you please, please use the whistleblower process congress has created for you. Call the department. call the inspector general. Call congress and its committees. But please do not circulate sensitive security documents. Rest assured that we will hold the department to account."

New York Times: Obama Undercuts Whistle-Blowers, Senator Says

President Obama signing statement: "I do not interpret this provision," [Obama] wrote, "to detract from my authority to direct the heads of executive departments to supervise, control and correct employees communications with the Congress in cases where such communications would be unlawful or would reveal information that is properly privileged or otherwise confidential."
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/17/us...ning.html?_r=2

Sorry Rep. Dent, whistleblowers cannot go to you or your colleagues with "Sensitive Security Information," you have to take your risks with the Inspector Generals -- and that's a real risky move after what happened to AmeriCorps IG Gerald Walpin or Clark Kent Ervin.

Folks, we've removed several recent negative and personal references to another FT'er.

Those are not allowed under any circumstances and if we have to step into this thread or any other for the same reason in the future, some sidelines time will be issued.

Thanks for your cooperation in discussing the topic only and not your fellow FT'ers.

After this post I got curious as to who was looking at my blog. I have had the analytics installed since Monday. So far here is who is looking at me.

1. department of homeland security Ft Myer
13. united states senate Washington
16. dhs/bsl002a Washington
49. dhs/cbp Falls Church
51. dod network information center St Louis
83. u.s. department of state Washington

I guess I am safe until I see the DOJ looking at me.

If I read the graphic correctly it looks like interest has dropped off by some margin.

That's their paper armor.

The numbers were up on Thursday and dropped over half for Friday. But the graphic shows the DHS is my top visitor, every day. 19.58% of my total traffic is coming from the DHS Ft. Myers.

DHS Ft Myers daily percentages
Tue 25.58%
Wed 37.04%
Thu 22.41%
Fri 7.50% (I will assume this was do to Christmas shopping)

Coming up next, DHS will declare "Our internet surfing habits are SSI, publishing them can only aid Al Kidda" and then you will be in deep DHS doo doo.

Well, my cover's gonna be blown by this and they'll most likely kill me but whatever I'm gonna go hide in the Amazon region of Brazil... but anwyays.

That is not the real TK, the real TK was abducted right after the SOP when he went to the "doctor's appointment." Put on the laughing gas and he's awake now in Hangar 18 at Site 4 in Area 51 next to the Ark of the Convenant, Oswald's rifle, Bigfoot, the Roswell UFO and goalie's BC hockey uniform (don't ask about that one ).

But anways, adios amigos, I'm heading back to BOS in five hours and hopping on the first flight and hopefully my DHS colleagues don't catch me.

Anyways, nothing to new to report from our side... really.

Do not believe him I am the real TK, ask me anything. [flipping through dossier]

Funny you should mention the Government grabbing me. I have worked out a signal with my co-workers. If I am gone and my car is gone, but my shoes are in the parking lot that means the Government got me.

This is an example of how some TSA employees see the public.
If they see us this way, it is probably because the average domestic American passenger demonstrates the IQ of a cocker spaniel, the reading ability of a blind man, and the "ME First!!!" attitude of a spoiled little rich girl. I cannot tell you the number of times I've been in a line and wanted to smack someone across the back of the head because they either can't read a sign less than two feet in front of their face, or for having a temper tantrum with a TSA employee who is only doing the job he or she signed up for. It's not the ground-level employees who make the rules, folks. They're just trying to earn a living like the rest of us.

Perhaps, if everyone here hates the TSA and thinks they are so "out of control," you should start doing something about the fools you elect to lead this country. There is the problem...they stick their noses in places it doesn't belong across the globe, and everyone else pays for it.

Maybe you should try that instead of acting petty on here.

Maybe you should read up on other threads in this forum and learn about some of the situations that you attempt to address.
