"I can imagine how much fun the retards at FlyerTalk are having with this. I suggest that those of us who are TSA employees not add any details to those discussions. Let 'em speculate, pontificate and mentally masturbate."
This is an example of how some TSA employees see the public.

The video is still up on the House Homeland Security web site. Click on the "Hearings" tab. If you have video capture software, you might be able to pull it down today and save it. The file extension on the video stream is .wvx.

A comment from another blog by a member who has posted here. Of course they have a little habit of deleting their post after getting pi$$ed off.

I've managed to capture the feed and extract the 27 seconds of lunacy that Rep. Dent (R-PA) shares about his view of me and others hosting the document.

In short, Congressman Dent, had you showed any glimmer of ability to actually hold the Agency accountable I might have considered your request. But you can't and until you or someone else does I'll take my fight to the streets where people actually seem to respond.

"TSA's 12 other SOPs"
The identity Project has filed a follow-up FOIA request for the 12 other SOPs mentioned by Ms. Rossides in her testimony, for all SOPs regardless of number, and for the list and index of all SOPs.

I placed a new post on my blog, I wanted to a complete overview but got stuck on one quote. I think I will need a bigger blog.

If I read it right the Identity Project states that they fully intend to release any documents they receive to the public.
I would like more transparency from TSA but I do think there are things they need to keep to themselves.
A goal that is actually winable would seem to make more sense.

In this case I'm betting that they are shot down wholesale. It will suck but it is par for the course with the TSA. Unless the IDP guys have a lot of cash and some decent attorneys they'll get nowhere.
The appropriate response from the TSA would be to properly redact the documents and release them in a timely manner. They properly redacted the previously requested one for the IDP and there were no issues with that. Rossides has gone WAY over the top in reacting to this incident, prohibiting access that is statutorily guaranteed (e.g. the Congressional requests). She's essentially blocked even legitimate requests "out of an abundance of caution." Think of the

Ask for something that is reasonable then fight them on the grounds of trying to hide information that is of no threat to their operation.
If IDP gets anything I'm betting the blackspace will overtake the whitespace by a good margin. No words will be left!

Rep. Dent's directing everyone to the "whistleblower process"
"To those who repost this security information on the internet you should share in the blame should security be breached as a result of this disclosure. In the future I would ask that you please, please use the whistleblower process congress has created for you. Call the department. call the inspector general. Call congress and its committees. But please do not circulate sensitive security documents. Rest assured that we will hold the department to account."
Rep. Dent did not get this issue of the Washington Post:
http://bit.ly/87lIO
...nor this one from the Washington Times:

How coincidental the screwed whistleblowers are all TSA law enforcement officers and one of their managers.
Your recent articles about the hearing were spot-on. OUTSTANDING work Seth!!!
