Refund to closed card

guys - if a refund gets sent to a card that was closed years ago, will chase still accept it given I'm still a customer of their bank with checking, savings and then send me the refund check in the mail automatically?

Thanks

Depends on what you mean by years. If the account is archived, it may take time for Chase to locate you, but yes, if the card account is closed, in 2-3 billing cycles, Chase should send a check to you.

If the account has been closed for years as in plural, I would contact customer service once you know that the refund has been transmitted by the vendor.

Just a data point - I closed a Chase card in May of 2019 and supposedly got a refund to it in November 2019. I haven't heard a word about it since. I do have another Chase credit card but not a checking or savings account.

I would suggest OP to contact the merchant for other arrangement, to avoid the game of pointing fingers.
