  • 100,000 Chase UR points after $15K spend in 3 months, with $95 annual fee (not waived the first year)

Additionally: For those who may be automatically excluded due to 5/24, the in-branch Business Rep can submit the application by Mail on your behalf (this avoids the application going through the computer check that would automatically exclude those who are already at 5/24.) First year's annual fee is not waived.

: Some members may have a referral link and would be very grateful if you would use it. See this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credi...ost-first.html

1) Should I apply using the link above or go to a nearby brick and mortar branch?
Sometimes there are better offers to be had in the branch (as referenced above). Some in-branch apps had/have the $95 AF waived 1st yr (ymmv). You can also have your banker check to see if you are pre-approved for this card (green screen on the banker's log in). However, it is likely simpler/easier to do a Chase business credit application Online as applying in-branch often requires providing documentation (proof of business, etc).

2) How do the rewards differ from other INK cards?
The bonus categories on this card are different than other cards in the INK family, notably, this card does NOT get a bonus at Office Supply stores, but DOES get the following:

3 Points per $1 on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases in the following categories each account anniversary year:

- Travel; including airfare, hotels, rental cars, train tickets, and taxis
- Shipping purchases
- Internet, cable and phone services
- Advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines

- 1 Point per $1 on all other purchases (with no limits on the number of points you can earn).

Also, notably, it follows the Sapphire Preferred personal card in offering a bonus when using points to book travel using the Ultimate Rewards web site: Points are worth 25% more when you redeem for travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards®. For example, 80,000 points are worth $1,000 towards travel.*

See discussion on using the UR portal, here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...ts-2017-a.html
3) What are the insurance and other benefits provided by this card?
The Benefits Guide is here: https://www.chasebenefits.com/inkpreferred
4) Can I product change from a different INK Card?
Since this card is newly released, options may change in the future, but, at this time, Chase is not permitting product change to Ink Preferred at this time (reported on 11/23/16).
See our ongoing discussion here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...16-onward.html

Looked through the wiki and thread and didn't quite see an answer to this:

Looking to try and self-refer for CIP, used to have Ink Business Plus, converted to Ink Cash. I only see referral offers in my account for Ink Unlimited and Freedom/Unlimited.

Does anyone know if the offers shown depend on which cards you currently have, or is it more or less random (or based on other factors we can't discern)?

Was hoping to get a bit more than just the base 80k .

And if I'm correct, if I sign up with EIN, later I can do EIN+SSN and get the bonus again, even within 24 mo? (For a real business that generates high 6 figures in revenue)

Later, if I have another (real business), does the same apply? Or will it require waiting 24 mo?

Need CIP to refer to CIP

CIC/CIU can only refer to CIU (no referral on applying for CIC)

CF/CFU can refer to either CF/CFU

Bonus is tied to the business tax ID -- at the moment Chase doesn't seem to be enforcing the 24mo bonus language so people have been able to get multiple CIPs without waiting 24mo

Got it, so I can start "self-referring" after the first CIP. Thanks for clearing that up!

Please clarify if this is something Chase does, or your opinion of what they should do?

Did I make a mistake by adding my my wife as an employee on my CIP card? Will she be eligible for her own CIP card?

What they should do and most likely will since AmEX just did.

Advice please!

Applying for Chase Ink Bus card with EIN and got this " Thank you for applying for a new CHASE Visa Signature business card account. We're sorry, but we did not approve your request because we do not currently lend to businesses in your industry. " Called in to see if they would reconsider because I wasn't sure how to enter reselling stuff so I picked something that seemed similar. I think I picked Other service and something. They said it's denied and nothing can be done but reapply. Is that true? Should I just reapply? Won't this count toward number of applications per 30 days? Will it mess my schedule up? How to proceed please!!!! Thanks!

Here is my schedule I don't want to mess up!
9-27 CIP bus ssn approved
12-17 CIP bus ein denied due to industry
2-5 Southwest per (I'll be at 3/24)
5-5 Southwest bus ssn
7-5 CIC bus ssn
9-5 CIC bus ein
11-5 CIU bus ssn
2-5 CIU bus ein

Chase getting stricter......

I tried applying several months after this attempt when I knew that I was under the 5/24 rule and here's where things have gotten stranger. I am a consultant and for years never incorporated but ran my business under a "business name". In the past, I used to get those pre-approval mailings from Chase for this same card (and bonus) under this "business name" but never applied. Out of chance, I thought I would try applying under this "business name" even though it wasn't incorporated and using my SSN. I got the letter again from Chase requesting proof of incorporation, business name, etc before they could approve the card. I'm confused then on how people are getting approved as sole proprietors when they may not even be using a business name but I do and I'm being asked for proof?? I've basically given up on this card anyway but am just curious as to whether anyone else has had difficulty in applying for it (3 strikes and I'm out I guess).

You apply as a sole proprietor using SSN. The name of your business is your first name last name. If your name is Manico Smith, the name of your business is Manico Smith. That's it.

Almost everyone who tries to overthink the situation by making up a business name or adding words like "consulting" to their name receives the same treatment you described.

Makes sense----sounds like it was my fault because even though I am operating as a sole proprietor, I bill out to my customers using my "business name" which is different.

Wife did exactly this but did not get instantly approved. How long is the wait typically before finding out a decision?

Instant approvals are rare for Chase business cards, judging from my own experience and from reading reports provided by others.

Most of mine were approved within 24 hours (I noticed a new card had been added to my Chase account) while I recall reading other reports of a week in limbo. It appears to vary by individual.
