So just to clarify, one of your DP was about a DP citing another DP. Did I get that right more or less? Also "comments" would imply more than one comment about that scenario. But there actually appears to be zero comments of any relevancy (going by your own post about "DP about a DP")

What is your opinion of the letter posted on the doctor of credit blog wrt what might actually have happened and maybe happening?

Regarding the comments on therewardboss website, it has been referenced and challenged before with no counter-corroboration whatsoever (like what we see on doctorofcredit blog). In fact there are theories that those are shill accounts perpetuating a myth (see Nick's post cited in this thread). So it is not worth wasting more bandwidth in this thread.

I've seen the letter quoted on the Reward Boss website as well as other DP's on account closure. While the accuracy remains to be seen, it was noted they would post the letter regarding "unsatisfactory relationship" once received, as they were in contact with the blog owner.

There is only 1 DP out of so many people. And it doesn't say that it was specifically because of him applying for the JPM Reserve... So it could be anything... HOWEVER, I do not recommend people to look for loopholes with banks...

There are two, "Justin" and "alpha". The latter stated they were allowed to cash out the remaining UR points on their Sapphire card as a statement credit and is in contact with the blog owner, who had asked the rate of redemption.

It is possible that it is a coincidence; however, I am just objectively pointing out the DP's.

None of this matters anymore to new applicants. It's done. The only option for a non PD holder to get the card is to be a JPM PB client and have them send in the app. PERIOD. Let's move on in this thread.

It matters because people are being constantly reminded that their accounts will be shutdown. See the last page.

So I looked at the entire comment section of therewardblog.

Here is a breakdown

Approval ( 7 DPs)
================
TheRewardsBlog
TheRewardsBlog's friend and he went to branch after faxing to improve his chances (http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-395202)
Cal - Says was denied for CSR but approved for 50k JMPR (http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-396741)
Tony - non PB client who faxed and was approved after recon http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-396113
Dara - Faxed by her bf on 9/1 but bf is apparently PB http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-397195
Mike - Faxed http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-398643 Later says he still got the doctorofcredit type of letter http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-401227

Doom/Gloom (2 DPs)
=================

Larry - Intially approved but apparently told to apply for a Chase card instead (http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-395713). He warned users that "Would NOT send in app unless you want a pull, and possibility of getting card, paying annual fee, and then having it downgraded." Later authenticity was challenged because AF is repaid if closed within 30 days

Rick - warned users "reviewing all apps, and cards issued, and if not private bank relationship, account would denied, or if issued in error, be closed". http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-396106
The Rewardboss emailed this user and got a bounce back.

Docotofcredit style
Rejection Letters (5 DPs)

==================
(http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-401227)

Shutdown (2 DPs)
================
Justin - First instance on Sept 7 where he graciously shares that the reps are flagging his client profile and talk to him rudely (http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-396328). Again posts how banks are "cracking down on us" (http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-396349) and finally shutdown http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-401954 Apparently he was also a victim of Amex Plat 100k clawback http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-401392

alpha - This is f**king bulls**t!!! I’m walking into my nearby Chase branch and demanding that I speak to the manager there. (http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-402068)

A lot of conversation back and forth between Justin and alpha and alpha has also graciously shared the letter from chase to therewardblog so that he can publish it in order to warn everybody http://therewardboss.com/approved-jp...comment-402285

There's plenty of blogs and posts, flyer talk has lots too. Until some letters start showing up, it's all speculation. I'd forsee account closures have more involved than just this. There's often more to the back story...if this story is accurate at all. Anyone with a letter, would be glad to see. Chase nor JP Morgan hopefully have that much time on their hands.

Speculation is a good politically succinct way of describing this drama, no doubt.

I call it absolute garbage [...edit...]. Next time another fax only style credit app leaks (possibly in another 4/5 years), I will be crowding the plate.

I'm skeptical of most things online. With regards to this, I'm skeptical not only of the supposed account closures, but that the blogger and others actually were approved through the fax loophole - the only successful stories are on that blog. The unboxing video could easily have been the person who leaked him the fax in the first place.

Good post and I agree. I was forced to break down the rewardboss blog just to stop disinformers from getting away because posting disinformation doesn't violate the code of conduct, so we have to expose them as much as possible and leave the rest to readers. I will continue to quote Nick because this game needs to be nipped in the bud.

Despite this (and frankly a lot of us are aware even before Nick laying it out in the open), some people had the audacity to continue with their agenda, even after being outed.

Edit: I will not be surprised if Black Helicopters are encircling "alpha"'s house at the moment. Or if "Justin" will be hit by lightening repeatedly in the near future given his trials and tribulations.

Does the 450 annual fee and travel adjustments count towards the 4k spend? Spent 4456.27 already and paid it off. Yet, the 100k has yet to be credited. Since I've spent 150 on travel credits and 450 annual fee, I am thinking the travel and annual fee do not count towards the spending requirements for the 100k bonus.

Anyone know for sure? It's been about two weeks since I've paid the balance off.

Annual fee does not count.

Agreed.

There really isn't much to move on to in this thread at this time, though - the card is a CSR (+ UC + hidden trade line + a few waived fees).

It's also, by far, the most exclusive credit card with an applicant pool in the thousands, of whom almost none read this forum (especially since the applicant pool is wealth-driven and not spend-driven).

Not sure what's left to discuss. Hopefully more benefits are around the corner.
