Existing card members can use "any hotel" certificates that were issued/will be issued prior to April 30th. Any Anniversary Night issued BEFORE May 1, 2018 is still valid at any IHG hotel worldwide.
Certificates issued AFTER May 1 will be under the new T & C's.
From Chase:
Here’s what’s changing

When you make a booking in ihg.com (I tried with an award booking), on the final page before confirmation you get an offer for 80k + $50 statement credit + 5k for adding an authorized user. $2k spend in 3 months. I was logged in. I don't know if that's necessary. And I can confirm an instant approval despite being way over 5/24.

I was targeted for 80k +20k via email. When I click the link, it says it can't find the offer and asks for invitation code, which I put it and it does take me to the correct page to apply. Thing is, I can't seem to enter my first name in the web form. Every other field allows text, but first name doesn't (and its a required field). Must be an issue with the form. I guess i'll call?

I applied for the $60K plus $50 credit and have started spending on the card. 2 questions:
When do I get the $50 credit?
How do I find my IHG rewards number? The application said one would be created for me since I didn't have an account, but going to my Chase account online and clicking the Rewards link gives me no details, and when I click "use rewards" it just takes me to IHG's homepage.
I'm needing to book a trip for mid-March spring break and figured I can easily complete the $1000 min spend by the end of this week, but still need to get logged into my IHG account and wait for the points to be credited so I can make a reservation.

24 months just passed and another free night posted.
I'm thinking of paying the AF and the cancelling the card in March and reapplying again in mid May.
Besides the slight risk of pissing Chase off ( which is why I am paying the AF) does anyone see any other issues ?
Thanks

My 24 month is coming for up IHG in April this year, can someone clarify if the 24-month should be the day I received the bonus and not my application date? If it is bonus-based, ihg.com only goes back 365 days for point history, any idea where you can find out what day I received the original bonus?

As for determining date of bonus, check your paper or online Chase statements, or ask Chase.

I just met the min spend - when will I receive the sign-up bonus? My statement doesn't close again until March 8 and I want to book a hotel in Orlando for spring break for a stay starting Mar 11th.
Do the bonus points post separately from the statement points? If not, can I ask Chase to accelerate my statement cycle date so I can end/start a new period sooner?

You'll have to wait for your pts. Chase won't accelerate. Pts usually post 2 days after stmt closes. Sorry.

Indeed, some people have learned the hard lesson that if you try to accelerate by moving your closing date nearer to the present, you end up adding over a month of delay because Chase will skip one statement. (Thus, moving your closing date today to the 20th means your next statement won't be generated until March 20.)

The 80k + 5k + $50 offer still exists on IHG.com on the last page while making a reservation (before actually having to confirm it). And approvals are still happening despite being over 5/24.

more likely to pop up if you have status, I believe.
