2 browser trick for Chase?

Does the 2 browser trick work for getting the Chase Sapphire Preferred & Chase United Mileage Plus Explorer cards, so that I do not get initially rejected for one of them?
I will be doing my first app-o-rama today.
Also, is there any particular order that I should be applying for my cards? Here's what I'm getting:

- Chase Sapphire Preferred
- Chase United Mileage Plus Explorer
- Barclay's USAir Mastercard
- Hilton HHonors American Express

There is no need to do the 2 browser trick with the Chase cards. Just make sure you do one right after the other. Odds are you may get declined for one of them but calling the chase reconsideration line is usually VERY helpful.

Just try and do all of the applications within a short period of time. You don't want one credit card company to see that you have a bunch of look ups on your credit.

Good luck!

No. If you did , approval on second one will be delayed by few days. That is assuming you get approved on both.

Thanks. I will try to do all 4 applications within an hour, if possible.

By the way, if I am denied one of the Chase cards (the United one, since I am applying for this Chase card after the Sapphire), should I call the Chase reconsideration line immediately, within the same day? Does it make a difference if I call a day later, or will this be an additional ding on my credit score?

It won't put another "ding" on your credit. I have had times where I call immediately and they tell me I need to wait 24 hours to call back so it is in the system. Usually if I am not approved right away I wait a day and then call them. You can try calling right away but that's up to you.

Thanks.
I thought that, since the other cards would be approved (counting as one credit pull), and the second Chase card wouldn't, it would be as if I had applied for a bunch of cards on one day, and the Chase card the day after, causing two credit pulls.
In other words, you're saying that my application for a card causes a credit pull, whether I get approved or denied?

call few days later, next time don't do the 2BM on chase cards. It works well on citi but not chase.

How does it not work well? I just did the 2bm Chase for two different applicants. Second application was automatically rejected for 'too many requests for credit". However, a call to the recon line did the trick. Expecting to get one hard pull for the double apps.

There is no downside to using 2/3/4bm so why not use it?

You are correct. Your credit will get pulled when you submit the application. It does not matter if it was approved or denied. However... it looks better on your credit history and future score to have a credit pull and approval vs. a denial.

Not sure were you got this info from but not true. They don't match credit pulls up with approval/denial.

So, is it worth it to apply for 2 Chase cards, and get a denial on record, when I am almost certain that this will happen? How long does this denial stay on record?

Glad to know this. Let's not give them any ideas!
