Does anyone know if the Chase checking account holder can be an authorized user to qualify for the 10x points or must the primary card holder be the owner of the checking account?

And you are aware the 10x points is for the Freedom card, not the Sapphire, right?

By 10X points you mean 10 points per transaction and .10X points right?

Yes, 10 points per transaction + 10% bonus on points. You're right, I didn't state that quite correctly before (still too early in the morning for me!).

I was not, but have both, so I'm covered. :) Thanks though for the info.

And thanks CMHFlyerOH for answering my question. Trying to save myself the small bother of opening a new account.

The Travelocity terms on the Ultimate Rewards portal contain a statement that I do not understand:

Eligible within three weeks of booking. Not eligible on the purchase or redemption of gift cards or gift certificates. Not eligible on activities, taxes, fees, Top Secret Hotels, insurance, order changes with the call center, travel for good products, Amtrak tickets, Last Minute Deals, or travel booked through other advertisers such as Globus Vacations. Not eligible on rental cars as of 7/12/11
Anyone know what the bolded sentence means? It wouldn't make sense that booking travel more than three weeks in advance is ineligible, would it?

Only thing I can think of is that the UR points will show up in your account within 3 weeks of making the eligible booking?
Poorly worded, whatever it is trying to say.

That is possible. My Travelocity bonus points post a couple of days after the transaction, a little slower than if booked throu UR.

Thank you txrose, I appreciate it.

Chase also currently offers a $125 bonus for opening a checking account and link a direct deposit source to it:

I think I will hold on to something better like $200 which I hope they will offer sometime in future (I hope so)

The best is $150 for checking account, as far as I know.

Will the new BA points program (avios) cause any changes in the current transfer method? Or its still all the same and instant?

What's the timeframe for airfare posting on a Travelocity purchase? This is my first experience with the UR mall. Bought ticket 4 days ago on 11/12, still zero balance. Not panicking since I'm used to things taking weeks to show up on United or AA's mall, but I thought the UR Mall was super-quick?

Thanks!

Some stuff is super quick, others are fairly quick, and then others can take the full 45 days. I haven't purchased with Travelocity so I can't comment but my recent purchases from Sears, Lowes, drugstore, ebags, and Home Depot have all taken 11 days to post.

For me Travelocity shows up in a couple of days, normally within a week. It is a little slower than if booked directly thru UR.
