also QF lounge is now a zoo due to routing via SIN. you probably get turned away at door. heard rumor F lounge combined QF/BA may be on the cards if so this could be worthwhile.
Thanks, @fakecd.

I figured as much. Flying out of T4, there is not that much incentive to arrive at the airport early for me these days. I hope Changi does something to improve interconnectivity with T1-3.

Another reason to hate on the CX move to Terminal 4:

Perhaps Changi Airports will start another file - troublesome CX lounge crawlers.

Used T-4 to fly SIN-BKK on CX last week. Late lunchtime take-off. I was amazed at how calm the whole terminal was (quieter than some lounges - see AKL Air NZ comments) and the CX lounge was fine-the updated 'lots of wood plus noodle bar' design. Not QF First Class standard though, I admit.

I was wondering if the detour to T1 BA and QF Lounges before going back to T4 is still available, as I would like to try that out in December?

I see
Seems a bit of hassle, but I think I'll manage

The problem now is that I think I'll be on the 12:55 pm CX690, but both BA and QF lounges open after 14:30, so would it be possible to enter those two lounges the night before?

(I've tried entering airside for a 9am flight with SQ the night before two years ago, and it worked, not sure about now)

Flying in Economy tommorow. Does anyone know if the CX elite Amex can get access to the blossom/plaza premium lounge at terminal 4?

thanks!

I can confirm that you can as it's counted as a PPL, and I entered earlier this month with my CX Elite Amex too

Does anyone have any recent experience going to T1 to try the QF F lounge using a CX boarding pass?

Wanted to try out in my last trip, but sadly it was so far away and time didn’t allow.
PS The T2-T4 shuttle (airside) was running at ~15mins interval so a considerable amount of time would be needed for lounge hopping.

Seems like some changes to lounge hopping methodology:

Check in at T4
Enter restricted area at T4 (as opposed to T2)
Take airside bus to T2 (this is allowed these days?)
Go to T1 for Lounge
Then go back to T4 by airside bus for CX departure?

The only thing was, the gate 51 receptionist was confused why I wasn't transferring from another flight, but I clarified I arrived yesterday and was allowed on the bus.
"If you’re departing from Terminal 4 but want to access different terminals (which is the only problematic scenario, since Terminal 4 isn’t easily connected to the other terminals), either:
  • Go to the early check-in desk in the Jewel and make sure you get a printed boarding pass with a stamp on it, and then you can clear security at T1-T3
  • Go to T4 and clear security there, and then take the airside bus, which will allow you to access other terminals"

Found the answer so basically people just checkin at the jewel and then access t1
