Does the JFK-HKG flight have a fuel stop?

Wondering if the plane can last 20 hours in the air, or if it's taking a fuel stop someplace. Also, why would there be a 3.5 hour difference in flight time between the 346 and 744 (or is that the fuel stop factor for the latter)?

Thanks,

Steve

The 747 flights LHR-HKG take 11:40 and 11:50 respectively and the 340 takes about 12:15 - not sure where you are getting 20 hrs from.

I am soooo dippy!

I meant the JFK-HKG flights.

I have been working multiple combinations trying to score 3 OW business class award seats, and my fingers switched codes from what my brain sent when typing the OP.

Thanks,

Steve

CX 888/889 stops in YVR. I've only done the North American section of that route, but I can't imagine it being a particular fun stop in the middle of the night on 889. There are probably loads of trip reports on this flight, too.

CX 889 => B744, JFK - Vancouver - HKG, 5hrs45mins + 1hr10mins fuel time + 13hrs25mins. Total about 20hrs20mins.
