Looks like no day bed suites like the ones in Pier F? Those are actually very comfortable for a quick snooze if you have a long transit until your connecting flight.
Wing F looks rather underwhelming as it’s very similar to Pier F unless the choice of food is significantly different and elevated. |

Been told service flow would be quite similar to The Pier F, and no buffet areas unlike The Wing F of yesteryears.

Unless they meant it's not going to a hybrid buffet/a la carte concept which the old Wing F (or current Deck as F) did afford you since you could nip outside for a bit more, but more of a Pier F concept where the small bites are in a completely separate area?

That one will tip me over the edge against further running for OWE
The press release said the restrictions to the Wing F is temporary, I am not worry. Whenever I have time, I would opt for pier F as it is less crowded, it may be better after 22 Apr as all DM will rush to the Wing. |
The wing first just reopened and it will take at least 1 month to settle down so it's sensible to just let cx first class or DM passengers to get in at the moment.
The wing business is closed for now and the deck will change back to a business class lounge. So the wing first is going to open for OWE very soon otherwise The pier first will be too busy. |

from bunch of images, I tend to agree it is underwhelming without any wow/X factor. (I'm not grudging because i'm non DM OWE and not even going to start arguing QF should make SYD F a QF platinum only sort of arguments). but I can't help to say it lacks the "wow" feeling we had when Pier F came out.
They make a big scene out of wellness zone, but being a massage/spa enthusiast myself those pretender 15min session is more a PR galore than actual relaxation with lasting impact for your flight. The only real benefit for me to go to old Wing F in the past (at expense of superior Pier F) was proximity from security. It was a great pitstop, grab what I needed at Heaven and off i went. I used to go to Pier F when I felt like indulging or spend 90min+. I suspect the "temporary" is really only 2-3 weeks. they would soon realize people aren't flying CX just to try Wing F let alone go to airport for Wing F (we flyertalkers are the minority on this regard) so the much feared "congestion" i doubt. The real congestion happens at peak of connecting flights from EU/Asia/AUS cross over, not due to some new product launch. Re "temporary", is it possible that "congestion due to new product launch" is just a polite excuse to decline OW EM once and for all? |

So you are telling me that the main dining room doesn't have proper tablecloths, but the "bar" dining room does (during certain period) ?

Probably not, I think they just want a staggered launch and don't want people to flood the lounge during the launch period while they sort out all of the (inevitable) kinks.

I hope you're right. I really hate how some other carriers (who we all know) are chipping away at oneworld benefits and make certain lounges exclusive to their own members. That's not in the spirit of the alliance.
It's the willingness of partner airlines to pay access fees and lounge operator airlines to take them. This is most viscerally illustrated by RJ's recent *USD 350 for one year OWS renewal monetary offer. If the lounge operator airlines don't want access fee income to reduce overcrowding, there's not much partner elites like me can do about it. I don't have the OPM to qualify the 親生仔 way, |
Oh Dear, at first pass it is a miss for me.
They have just tried too hard to make it opulent and the result is that it’s all over done and rather middle eastern glitzy. Sadly I much preferred the old lounge but perhaps I will get used to this. |
Some dishes from The Atrium menu

Still tasty for what it is, but if you go in expecting a traditional lobster roll, you will be disappointed. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...6ef7edba6.jpeg |

You think it's underwhelming because Pier F is already so good.
Re "temporary", is it possible that "congestion due to new product launch" is just a polite excuse to decline OW EM once and for all? Day suites. The massage area etc. WING F has nothing unique and the one thing it did have got removed... |
