I used the Cabanas on multiple occasions to take Zoom meetings that were scheduled within a short time of my departure, making it impossible to take them before leaving for the airport, in which case I'd get to the airport early enough to get a Cabana and take the calls in privacy. It was super useful and productive.

Granted, this was probably not a common usage case.

There are 2 private rooms for calls and conference at the new Wing. TBH not the most efficient use of space to have guests occupying the huge cabana for conference call…

it’s a private bar serving a different list of champagne/wine. A significant step up from the usual list

Despite the crowd at dining halls this morning, there was no queue for shower room at 7:30am. Says a lot about what kind of people are occupying the shower rooms at Pier F every morning.

That's not exactly news, originating pax from HK will have just left from home/hotel and won't be sweaty.

9:30pm and after both originating and transit will want the showers before long overnight flights.

But I won't begrudge CX for playing the capacity card at Wing indefinitely - partner elites and partner J/F - send them down to Bridge/Wing.

Perhaps it should for own J pax also, at high gates. At least, "encourage" them not to use the lounges closer to their gates.

What I hope wouldn't happen - but of course couldn't have a say on - is if Pier food and drink gets dumbed down in favour of Wing.

Or they can do the ow flights no entry because of capacity, but maybe only qf pax will be affected .

if they only allow Cx flt only for guests with owe and not Cx dm, I wonder if it will reduce the number of guests significantly . Maybe Sin is different cos they do reject non qf flt pax even with as a qf plat during peak hours.

Other than better alcohol, anything else there that is over and above what is available in the F lounge?

The F showers (both old Wing F and Pier F) - and in fact, J ones, too - are never full at 9:30pm - the only wait I've ever had to do is in the morning.

I know this is first world problem but I’m interested in learning how you guys think.

Few days ago, I flied XXX-HKG-LHR(CX251). After a long day in office, I went straight to airport to catch flights. The first leg delayed. It left me only half hour before boarding when I arrived in Pier First. I was desperate having a shower but the shower room untie told me there were 8 people waiting ahead of me. I don’t mind waiting at all as long as I got time but this wasn’t the day. I turned to the front desk, showing my BP for help.( I don’t play DYKWIA usually but this was difficult situation to me) Then her supervisor checked with the untie, came back and kept telling me everyone was waiting and implied I should do the same. Being a DM member and flying First class passenger, I was extremely disappointed that I didn’t have any priority on this. Luckily a kind gentleman waiting beside me ( he was the first one on the waiting list) offered his priority to me. I appreciated it very much but this was nothing to do with CX.

Anyway, how do you guys think? Do you think F passengers or DM should have priority using the shower room? Or everyone is equal to wait in line ? Please share your thoughts.

When's the last time you've used a shower at that time? Mine (in Pier F) was a week ago; and then the Deck just on Sunday.

I have to wait twice this month for the shower in Pier F, both are after 8:30, but the wait is around 30mins though.

I saw in another post somewhere that it's only for drinks.. For dining, there is a curtained off area behind the main dining area that is reserved for DM+ and F passenger only.
