Summer 2026 Award Availability
Hi,
I've been looking for business award flights on Cathay metal for June 2026 with no luck. Been looking at all US origins to HKG. They don't seem to offer any award flights after mid-May or so. I'm wondering if anyone has any insight as to when they may open up availability?

P.S. SFO, LAX cash fare loaded to 6/10, JFK to 6/11, this happened within the last 24h. Same for SYD/MEL, but they loaded redemption for SYD/MEL as well.
Hi there. I'm very new to booking reward flights on Cathay Pacific. Here's my scenario.
I'd like to book this trip so that when the reward dates open, I book as quickly as possible. In this case, I would need to wait for July 2 to open up, and book a trip from July 1 and return July 2. Then wait a month for July 30 to open up and then attempt to change my return date to July 30.

Don't overthink it. OMAAT's T+360 advice no longer works because there's usually a 4-10 week pause between loading these days The CX Timetable Thread [Post 26-Oct-2024] .
I mean cash fares. If cash fares not loaded, no redemptions either.
For example, 19/6/2026 cash fares not yet loaded for HKG-LAX/SYD/LHR/JFK/PEK/HND/NRT.

After 6/10 it’s simply because CX hasn’t released any seats for sale or redemption.
From mid-May to 6/10 it’s because CX has released seats for sale, but chose to make none of them available for redemption.
(Edit 25/6: going to US is fully loaded for redemption. Coming to HK from US is not. Really no idea - but what can you do?)
