Hi.

Anyone have a view when CX will publish their timetable for post 26th October 2024 flights?

Not definitively

But if you believe rhyme and rhythm works, 1 Apr 2024 timetable was released 14 Jun 2023.

Cathay End of 2024 Schedule Open

Hello,

Does anyone know when Nov 2024 onwards will open for Cathay? Trying to book West Coast to HK and noticed on Google Flights that flights end in Oct 2024.

Wondering if anyone knows when the schedule will open for Nov 2024 onwards, or if there is any pattern.

Also curious, does anyone know of any flight notification service that will alert when the flight becomes available? Tried ExpertFlyer, but can only set alerts for existing flights.

Checking today for 1/1/2025, I don't think redemption is loaded for 2025, although cash bookings (I'm not using the term "revenue" anymore because QR CDG made the use of the term "revenue" confusing Ex-CX lounges ) are available now.

(P.S. cash bookings still made available on T+360 basis ie today is 3 Jan 2025)

Edit 23/1: NA loaded oneworld Multi-Carrier Awards - sharing ideas . But not rest of network.

Some regional flights haven't been loaded yet. For example BKK/SGN-HKG are not available post 10/26.

Is it normal that there is absolutely no award availability for approx. 3 weeks at the end of September until mid October for any CX flights (and QF for that matter) from Hong Kong to Australia?

I am looking for two economy award seats at the end of September or start October, but there is absolutely nothing available. Is that likely to open up later?

Look at that big line of green (public holidays) in October 2024

https://timesles.com/zh/calendar/years/2024/

I havent checked for Australia, but they certainly dont do last minute releases for Japan.

That is very helpful, thank you.

The trip is 8 months out so I was hoping for any availability to open up, but that may be too optimistic even in Y. I believe there may be some public holidays in Australia as well at that time so I may have to make alternative arrangements.

What's really weird is I remember seeing ample October availability before this new calendar availability was released, so I'm a little confused tbh

And this all assumes of course that CX stick to their currently / soon-to-be published schedules.

HKG-DXB until a week ago was once daily (down from 2x daily pre-Covid). A few days ago, this became 6x per week. Now just checked again and it's down to 2x weekly.

Serious LCC (un-)reliability vibes. So sad to see...
