(P.S. cash bookings still made available on T+360 basis ie today is 3 Jan 2025)
I think many flights still aren't loaded, even for cash, through T+360. For example, LAX-HKG / HKG-LAX isn't showing up for cash for any dates in 2025 yet. Just a couple of days ago, I was able to book a late-December 2024 award in F and J from LAX-HKG for members of my family, and now I'm waiting on HKG-LAX to open up for the first week of January. I'm hoping that when the cash bookings load, they'll have the awards loaded. But curious when that might be.

Separately, HKG-TPE is loaded for cash bookings only through December 31, 2024, but J awards seem to be available daily only through December 19, and then December 29 and 30. They have so much capacity on that route. Hoping things open up for other late-December dates.

Your post is moved here because the answer is in the posts above - the calendar is not open as a simple T+360 rolling window anymore, but rather, in blocks between ~330 to 355 days (differing for cash/redemption, and between destinations)

thank you. I was actually referring to booking JAL on Cathay but I assume your response should also cover that too.

If JAL on Cathay I currently can see JL J on HKG-TYO, TYO, HKG, TYO-LHR and ORD-TYO for 4/4/2025. So not all routes uniformly.

As a NON elite tier member, I can only see redemption calendar 6 months out (up to March 2025 as of now). I guess that's the CX policy?

I have no elite status with CX either.

I use a trio of routes to see what date redemption loading is currently extended to: HKG-PEK, HKG-PVG and HKG-TPE. Every other route may be loaded later than these three.

Does Cathay publish a timetable like this one (Hong Kong to Japan, https://flights.cathaypacific.com/en...-schedule.html) for all their destinations?

I think CX is doing it again (stop loading seats after 25 Oct 2025 or 26 Oct 2025 for some routes)

No flights available from 12/28/25 onwards

I've been checking flights from JFK to HKG for early next year, and it seemed a bit weird that no tickets are available from after 12/27/25. This has been the case for a few days, so I was thinking maybe the tickets weren't released yet, and found out that it was the same between LAX and HKG. However, the agent on the phone told me it was because "all tickets [were] sold out". Seems a bit strange; has this happened before?

They only release 330 days in advance. Patience.

CX does not like to take forward bookings like other airlines
