A shout out for the underrated cheese burger available as a main or refreshment throughout a long haul flight. I was impressed by the juicy beef patty and perfectly melted cheese. Sadly there was no mayonnaise onboard that would be the proper condiment for the crispy fries. Great comfort food.

Interesting local dishes ex SIN. Nasi lemak was decent (though nowhere close to MH or SQ standard) and the sambal was insufficient, it came in an extremely tiny tub. Nyonya braised pork was awful. Nothing Nyonya at all. It’s more like sweet sour cooked with Lee Kum Kee chilli paste. The dish contained 30% tiny pork pieces and 70% lap cheong (Chinese waxed sausages). Most bizarre! The accompanying egg fried rice was heated to a crisp at the top layer. |
