I just want to note that the breads were heated too long. Our flight was delayed because of last minute swap and subsequent weather delay. The rolls stayed in the oven a bit too long and the croissant was hard. They all tasted bitter, except the sweet Pandan and Raisin Danish. The breakfast was too small but at least I ask for cereals and extra breads. The Mushroom Omelette was surprisingly good and I would order it again. |
Booked on CX811 from BOS to HKG. Pre-order opened 10 days out as expected but the only option that shows is the burger (or special meals). Shows the same way both in the app and on the website. Anyone have any insights into pre-order on this flight?

I think pre-order from inbound flights to Hong Kong are still fairly limited.
So I won't worry too much about it. Just do pre-order on flights from Hong Kong... when you have access to the full array of main courses, in additional to a few online exclusive main courses. Carfield |

I noticed the same (only burger available for pre-selecting) when trying to help my in laws select a meal on CX 829 departing from YYZ. Does that mean that the only meal choice available is the burger or do they have other meal options once onboard?

Cathay Pacific Business Class CX 716 Singapore to Hong Kong [The meal is uploaded from Bangkok, as the aircraft works the morning rotation HKG-BKK-SIN. For these triangular flights, CX always uploads the meals from Bangkok, which perhaps has a lower catering cost. For the HKG-SIN-BKK-HKG, the meals for HKG-SIN-BKK are all loaded in HK, and then they upload food for the final segment from Bangkok.
