You don't have to complete the booking to see the seat maps if you try to book on CX's website. Choose the flights and enter your personal information and you can see the seatmap before payment page. Otherwise, you can use tools like EF, or alternatively, share the flight number, date, and route you are looking for, and I can look up on GDS when I have time.

Hi all, following on from this, we (BA OWE+OWS) have several flights on CX coming up in premium economy, and have selected a window pair on all bar one. On this flight, I can see all window pairs are taken except in the back row - these are blocked according to Expertflyer. Is it worth calling CX to request these or are these reserved for Cathay's own elites? Cheers!

Cheers. I'd love to sit there but they show as blocked on EF on all my sectors, so suspect they are held back for Cathay elites.

Officially, CX only blocks the first 6 rows in Y for lites. If your desired seats are blocked, chances are they are blocked for other reasons, not for CX lites. I would call and even HUACA if the initial call does not work. Some agents know how to unblock seats, some don't, but it also depends on the nature of the block. If a tour group is blocking it, for example, it cannot be unblocked.
