Hi guys,
I just joined the forum - I'm looking to fly to Tokyo around the end of November or early December from Sydney. However, I couldn't find any flights with Aria. I thought CX161/162 would have Aria Suite on the SYD-HKG part of the trip. |

From my search, they said cx161/162, but yeah, 777-300ER is the aircraft you're looking for. I'm not sure whether they are all been upgraded to Aria Suite.

I realise 255 now is sometimes more expensive than 251, which is supposed to be the prime flight. I almost never see P/I class fares on 255 now. I wonder if it's purely because of Aria Suite, or there are other reasons?
Edit: I realise it is not all the case, just happened to be the small sample size I saw. |

Seeing on plane spotters, B-KPQ is parked, seems under maintenance, is that possible B-KPQ will become the 7th plane with Aria Suites ? (also First Class removal)

B-KPQ returned from Xiamen but it seems like it didn't have Aria Suites installed?

More like the other way around, because 255/250 is Aria so more people book on it, leading to a full flight with less cheaper fare buckets.
I was just thinking the group here is only a minority of what’s out there. Many would choose the flight for a better time (251 has a shorter immigration queue for earlier arrival) rather than the seats. |

Do people actually know and choose Aria suite intentionally? Like it doesn’t show on booking site saying clearly it’s Aria, unlike what Qatar does with qsuite (until Qatar-ed).

Flew B-KQL and wasn't expecting it to have Aria Suite (YVR-HKG/CX888); too bad I was in Y this time. Maybe I didn't read up on this refresh too much but I'm a fan of the minor restroom and galley (?) refresh they did for the rest of the cabin.

I'm booked in J on CX254 and CX253 in November / December, can I safely assume that since they're selling F on these that it will be the old business class - or any chance of some changes.

The current running assumption is that CX will only be reconfiguring 77As (F class equipped birds) if it is to completely eliminate F and change the plane type into 77J (Aria equipped 77Ws, which lack F class). Said another way, there is currently no plan we know of, to have a subfleet of Aria-equipped J / current F class planes (basically, a 77A but with Aria….nonexistent for now and same for expected future). The plan has been for a new F to be equip on the perpetually delayed 777X. This underlines the reason why they are not doing J class only conversions on the 77A, but rather ripping out F and changing them into 77J. maybe if the 77X gets another long delay, then they will change their minds. But for now no. Hope the answer above makes some sense. |
