Also, for those who visited Pier recently, is the tea bar and dessert table is there?
Yes, the Tea Room is still wonderfully quiet place to visit and still has a variety of sweet treats to tempt.

I understand the other F lounge re-opened recently (the one down the escalator).
Does that one (forgot the name) still have the sit-down restaurant?
That 'other' first class lounge is The Pier First, and while that's not yet reopened it's slated to be back later this month...

July Beverage & Food Menu - The Wing F (further cuts!)

Yea they really gutted the wine and the food offering in The Wing F lounge in July vs pre-June even...!

Photos enclosed of the beverages and food for lunch & dinner. Massive how many options were removed and the champagne also downgraded to what they serve in Business Class (bye bye Deutz Brut Blanc de Blancs/Cuvee William Deutz)

Note: I visit this lounge multiple times a month for the 3-4 years so this is not coming from a pre vs post-covid perspective. Sorry for the large photos :-(

That menu is absolutely embarrassing... Might as well not offer an a la carte menu at the rate they're cutting items. I got a good chuckle at pairing the beef noodles or chicken burger with a "side" of steamed rice.

Is CX the Wing First Class moving to a "Hong Kong style cafe" model?
Not one single seafood dish - no fish/no shrimp/no seafood... Everything just screams cheap.

CX can't even afford to serve a beef burger now!

Now you wonder why most CX loyal customers are upset! Long haul business class flights are HK$90,000-100,000 this summer to US/Canada. This is an example of "pay more but less values"! As Covid is receding from people's minds, this kind of BS cutback will backfire on CX spectacularly!

I am going straight to Centurion lounge when I fly CX and Oneworld carriers next time from Hong Kong!

In all fairness there was a very commendable seafood cioppino at the buffet area in The Haven two days ago. Had a good serving of jamon and bresaola, followed by a rather good sweet and sour pork with rice and then some cioppino. It's not world class but I think they deserve more credit.

The dessert leaves a lot to be desired though, had some ice cream and then to the Qantas Lounge for cheesecake.

HK$10k would have been too cheap.

I’d unhesitatingly jump into CX Premium Fare Deals. This will ensure CX will increase fare integrity in the future (after they honoured and I travelled my fare).

Sad news as I'm flying out on 19th midnight - was banking on the reopening to be on Monday!

Does that mean moving forward, both The Wing F and The Wing J will be the one to stay open until last CX departure, while The Pier J would also close at 12:30am? It would probably make more sense to consolidate those 1~2am flights (red-eye KIX, red-eye JFK, and TLV) to the gates near The Wing then (those CX priority gates in the past).
By the way, djsflynn , do you happen to know when CX plans to reopen the lower level (and shower rooms) of The Wing J? Thanks a lot!
