Answering my own question, 873 J and status pax are either given a $25 f&b voucher or $40 shopping voucher

The Cathay pacific lounge in the South departure hall, Level 4 will reopen in late July/August or possibly sooner according to various reports and a statement from Cathay that ALL lounges will be open by September.

On Monday they said before the end of the month. The $25/$40 voucher alternative is... appalling.
From the (average) cafe, you get two yoghurts, two [tall] hot drinks and one banana for that amount. By the time you get there they also stop doing smoothies. You cannot buy alcohol using the F&B voucher either.

Has anyone seen a lounge review since re-opening?

I have an AA flight departing at 11pm on Friday, so I think we'll be able to spend some time in the lounge and report back.

Pre-covid, I recall no distinct space nor offerings for F pax / OWE. Do I recall that correctly?

As far as lounge food goes, the dishes we tried were all freshly prepared and flavorful. Steak sandwich and the kimchi fried rice with gojuchang shrimp were standouts for me. We didn't try the noodle bar, but it seemed everyone else in the lounge did.

I'm a big fan of the noodle bar, and I'm like hooked on those Dan Dan Noodles.
