Current problems with seat assignment system

Current problems with seat assignment system

Some people on FB seem to have currently problems with seat pre-assignment.
In my case (Y), I am OWE (shows on booking). The seat map offers me free preferred/extra legroom seats for free, and regular seats for a fee. That is weird
When I click to reserve a preferred seat that is shown as available on the seat map, it starts to get through then I get the message "Sorry, you are ineligible to select seat, please check your booking. [E23Z00116]".

Anyone aware of an IT glitch and how to go around it without hours on the phone.

I've found it pretty easy to select seats via WhatsApp when the website won't co-operate.

Just be very specific about your booking number, name, and the specific flight and seat assignment you want, so they can action it later without asking you for more information.

ALl I get is a menu where they guide you. But there is no case where they can help me by reading my message.All they are basically saying is do it on website.

You should be able to select the "I need help" option in one of the prompts to contact customer care, at which point you can just leave a message.
