According to EF, currently 0 availability in J --F3 A2 J0 C0 D0 I0 W2 R3 E1 Y0 B9 H9 K0 M3 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0.
However, the seatmap doesn't really line up with availability, showing 11 empty seats in J and PEY each. So I'm kind of confused on this, sorry.

A complete noob here. I have quite a few miles across amex, chase, AA, BA, United, etc.
Would like to fly NYC-ICN - need to get there on Oct 12 the latest (but as early as 10th).
I'd like to check out F (waitlisted acc to Cathay site for all these days for 125k AMs)
What's my best option to clear the waitlist? With them? Call AA or some other partner program?
I also tried looking at NYC-HKG only (and buy the rest) but it's similarly waitlisted...
