Cold water in the morning? We plan to transit in HKG in Dec (from US)... oh, no... not sure I want to shower anymore if that's the case. well, at least you know you will be well awake after that.

I find that the problem with cold water only happens when I'm there wayyy early in the morning, coming off the transpac flight. Never a problem when I'm on my way out in the afternoon.</font>

You're telling me this is a problem that the Wing has had for soem time, that they've failed to fix? I had assumed -- wrongly, apparently! -- that this was a one-time problem, a fluke. I would have "demanded" more compensation (failed to accept the smaller compensation) had I known that this was a systematic problem.
If the water in the Wing F showers is still cold the next time I'm there (whenever that is; wish it were soon!), I imagine I'll send one hell of a letter...

Personally, I think they sometimes forget to turn on the hot water heater. Since I always run a tub, I've never actually stepped into a cold shower.
When it happens, I tell the attendant, she disappear for a couple of minutes, and the hot water starts flowing shortly after that.
BTW, it wasn't clear from your post, but did you tell the lounge staff about the cold water or did you just send CX a letter afterwards?
