Question about Wing/Pier
I have done a complete search but could not find an answer to a question... Does CX allow couples in a Day room at the Wing or Pier? Since we will be checking out of our hotel early and touring Hong Kong all day, We (Significant Other and I) wanted to know if we would be allowed in together or would need to book two rooms? Thanks....Ms Buni http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif |
I don't think it's a problem, certainly in the cabanas in The Wing. Just don't be too noisy about it since the "river" feature at the end of all the Cabanas means that there is no sound insulation between them.
By the way, I am not aware of any booking system - it's first come first served. |
don;t think there sd be any problem
but the day rooms in the pier is too small to accomodate 2 (only 1 seat). but.... at the wing. you can actually move across the adjacent cabana pretty easily by tiptoping on the 'river' bank or stepping into the river |

The Cabanas at the Wing are not designed for two. One can sit while the other showers; one can lie on the curvy bench while the other uses the sink - but if you are looking for anything more than the ability to chat with each other, you will not find it here. I haven't tried napping on the curvy bench; it doesn't look appealing. But if that is your desire, I recommend that you book two cabanas on arrival.

I think the F cabanas at the wing are great for two. They even give you two bath robes. There are two seats by the 'river' and enough drinks in the fridge to go around.
The tub is nice an big. I know from experience that two can fit in there. And if you close the door and put some of those bath robes on the floor, you can... |
Thank you for attempting to refrain from thinking dirty thoughts... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif My main reasons for asking is that I always read about how the rooms are booked up. Plus it would be nice not to inconvience someone while 2 of us used 2 rooms and could have used only 1. As usual I always appreciate everyone's advice! Any of you were there when they had problem
with the pebble pool and had to drain it ? They put some blue liquid in there ( a shallow one )..so if you set foot down there it left a foot print ... So...there was no "walking on water" to peek next door..or to play "Knock knock.. who's there !!! " I was even offered pillow and blanket so I could take a nap . |

I sent a complaint and got four $25 in-flight duty-free vouchers, but ouch! that was some cold water. Never a problem when I'm on my way out in the afternoon. |
