CX Website/App

Do the app and the website appear to be in the same country as far as CX is concerned? If, for example, you look at the website through a corporate network whose gateway is in a different country you may well see different results because of the annoying way that CX (and other airlines) try to manipulate fares by point of sale.
On the app, I can see numerous afternoon TPE-HKG flights connecting to CX 858 to Seattle and then a 2-hour layover before continuing on CX 7901 to Vancouver. Return is YVR-xHKG-TPE. Fare is TWD 95,342.- I just do not want to book this yet until I can sort out some other matters, but the app will not let me hold the fare for 72 hours.
On the website, all I see are the TPE-YVR//YVR-HKG 1-stop flights, and then if I use the "multi-city" option to search, the only 2-stop flight showing is KA 483-CX858-CX7901, with return YVR-xHKG-TPE. The fare, however, is TWD 105,794.
I just ended up calling CX Ticketing and asked if they could see the fare of TWD 95,342 for the flights that I wanted. Yes, they could. So, CX has made the booking over the phone for me, and I will have to call in to ticket within 3 days.
[Incidentally, if I call in to ticket (since I cannot do so online now) and charge to my CX Amex card, do I still get the slightly extra AsiaMiles that I would be entitled to versus if I had used the same CX Amex card and booked via cathaypacific.com? Any experiences?]

I distinctly recall that I could use the Cathay app to book flights and having a function to hold the booking for 72 hours before payment. Has this function now disappeared?
Now, I can only hold the flights when I make a booking on the Cathay website.
And, it still seems to be the case that I can see certain fares on the app which I cannot see on the website. Quite frustrating.

Yes, I tried to use the hold booking function on the app yesterday and it is not available. Frustrating given there continues to be a difference in the fare options on the app vs website.

Yes, it was there before. I recall being on the phone with CX MPC one time to go through some bookings using the app. I went through one dummy booking with the agent and both saw that the "hold fare" option was available. And, then we went through the process of making a booking for the actual flights that I wanted to hold, and asked why I couldn't "hold fare" for this booking. And then it dawned on me while we were trying to figure it out that the booking I had wanted to hold was less than 72 hours before the first flight. I felt so stupid.

I can't log in at all on to the app. My bookings are viewable on the app if I manually input the reservation details. Very frustrating since I want to keep track of my club points activity without having to log in to the website all the time!
