Yes, both app and website same country.
On the app, I can see numerous afternoon TPE-HKG flights connecting to CX 858 to Seattle and then a 2-hour layover before continuing on CX 7901 to Vancouver. Return is YVR-xHKG-TPE. Fare is TWD 95,342.- I just do not want to book this yet until I can sort out some other matters, but the app will not let me hold the fare for 72 hours.
On the website, all I see are the TPE-YVR//YVR-HKG 1-stop flights, and then if I use the "multi-city" option to search, the only 2-stop flight showing is KA 483-CX858-CX7901, with return YVR-xHKG-TPE. The fare, however, is TWD 105,794.
I just ended up calling CX Ticketing and asked if they could see the fare of TWD 95,342 for the flights that I wanted. Yes, they could. So, CX has made the booking over the phone for me, and I will have to call in to ticket within 3 days.
[Incidentally, if I call in to ticket (since I cannot do so online now) and charge to my CX Amex card, do I still get the slightly extra AsiaMiles that I would be entitled to versus if I had used the same CX Amex card and booked via cathaypacific.com? Any experiences?]
