Quote: The presentation threw me off. I quite enjoyed mine with some steamed rice. I must say its quite a simple dish and reminds me of a home cooked meal. Maybe I have the unrefined pallet of a child.
Yea it's definitely not a bad dish. But I'd expect more from a premium airline's first class lounge collaboration with a luxury 5 star hotel

The steak at the Wing should be new, even though Pier had it first.

Pier should have a menu before mid sep.

at Pier F now and even same Sep it seems menu is different to earlier one posted above. had beef skirt steak and even me being typical critic i must admit CX is upping its lounge game. salmon used for salad definitely better than garbage theey used couple years back and steak is very juicy and top quality.

the chinese dumplings were medicore. i find Wing F does better chinese whereas Pier F does great western

LHR First. Seems to have declined steeply since I was last here a year ago. The staff didn't seem to have hospitality experience or understand how to wait tables, while the dining area was never more than 60% full.

Was given a food menu on arrival but had to ask for the drinks menu. Despite having glasses waiting on the table I wasn't offered water, after asking for it I had to repeatedly ask for top ups. Wasn't given the correct utensils for the soup, the same happened to someone sitting near me a few minutes later. Given a hilariously large spoon with my dessert (see below) only corrected after I asked for a more appropriate spoon. Cathay Delight servings were 1/3 of a small glass although they were rationing it. The whole visit just felt strange.

Thai Soya 'Lard' Salad - assume this should have been larb. This had a lot of heat to it.

Szechuan spicy beef noodles - very little chilli, quite a bland dish overall

Teriyaki Basa - the fish had absolutely no teriyaki taste, otherwise it wasn't bad, felt quite healthy

Mango sago pudding served with silly spoon.

here it is, good if you fancy some veggies but don't wanna eat grass (I.e. have salad)

Pass by the Wing tonight and menu same as early Sept (they didn't renew the menu together with Pier)

Also, the bread lady in the Pier disappeared tonight. Not sure if she only works 1 shift so bread only available say from 11am-7pm.

A male staff was serving bread tonight. The bread was warm and delicious.
