Combining PNRs

Is it possible to combine PNRs (and have the trip protected by CX)?

Let's say I've an award redemption HKG-LHR and I've purchased another cheaper connecting flight, e.g. SIN-HKG. Am I able to have CX combine both PNRs and have my connection to the HKG-LHR sector protected in event of an earlier CX delay?

Thanks guys.

A comonly asked question
No.
Unless you cancel both and rebook as single PNR/ticket.
At time fares are cheap for a reason

Thanks for the answer! But I would be able to have them check the bag all the way from SIN to LHR right?

You can't combine them per se, but you can have them "linked" by calling CX. Even if you don't do it ahead of time, when you check in they can usually see both tickets and will handle IRROPS accordingly.

I think CX is usually pretty good about this kind of stuff, but something I learned from experience... if an agent tells you the gate or transit counter (for your rescheduled flight on another airline) is really far away and you need to walk very fast, insist on a buggy even if you're going to have to pay for it. I've missed two rescheduled connections due to this. Ended up overnighting in a hotel on CX's dime.

It is not possible to combine 2 PNRs on the "reservations" side of Amadeus.

However, when checking in at the counter in SIN, the agent can combine the "customer records" of the SIN-HKG and HKG-LHR flights into one by using the "Find Connection" function on the "DCS (Departure Control System)/check-in" side of Amadeus Altea.

As a result, you will still have 2 seperate PNRs on the reservations side, while one combined "customer record" on the DCS side.

thanks! let's say I book a good connection time of about 2 hours between the flights, and somehow the departing flight is delayed and results in me missing the connection. Will CX be still helpful in this case if its booked on two separate CX tickets?
