While chatting with the bartender, he told me that he felt the remodeling would be done by November and will become part of the Wing F with some certainty. He did say what it was for, but I wasn't paying attention. I think he said CX is installing something like a bar there.
Beginning (opening of new Wing J): designed as J class lounge space.
Second iteration (when Wing F closed for renovation): the "F" space of the Wing J, as the proper F lounge underwent renovation.
Third iteration (after Wing F reopen until recent closure): Permanently made F lounge space, due to lounge crowding in Wing F.
It was always a "J" space without as many people. Cool if it gets a nicer vibe now.

Wasn't this space originally the J Noodle Bar...though I recall as an F flyer slipping through the barrier to have a bowl. F area is always crowded while the new F Pier is pretty empty from my two recent visits. Suppose it's just too fare from most of CX's gates.

It is also the short-cut for passengers from the F side to get to Gates 1-4.

IIRC,there was just a seating area there before? I supouse this is a good option for someone who wants to quickly grab something to drink/to eat.Before The Pier reopened I used to go to the The Wing J lounge when wanting to quickly get some juice etc. Choice of food is not as good as The Pier's equivalent however.

The lounge was pretty empty an hour ago and I even managed to get a cabanna without wait.The Heaven was probably at 60% capacity. Will see how the situation will change when I exit the cabannas

The. Wing and Pier
Now that The Pier First Class Lounge has re-opened, does anyone know if Cathay plans to return The Atrium section of The Wing to the business class lounge (it used to be part of the business class lounge)... clearly the lounge gets quite busy so surely it would be a way to provide more space for business class passengers.....
BTW I was able to get a F seat with AA miles 8 days out
