About time. The F lounge dining was WORSE than before the renovation. The offering seems to go down the hill. When it first opened you get pan-fried scallops regularly. Now you get cheap shrimp cake, and it's not everyday, some days you get cheap seafood. And the fried rice is literally just that, fried white rice with not much else (don't be fooled by the signs that said Duck or Roast Pork, you don't get much of any of that but 99% is rice with a few sprinkles of duck or roast pork.) For one of the top airlines in the world, they sure fall real flat in their flagship lounge.

So both F section for Pier and Wing are closed? I think there must be some can't-wait-further problem to fix or else I can't think of any reason to close both F-only lounge concurrently...

Would you compare a BMW to a Chevolet? CX brands and prides itself of being a BMW of flying, they should give nobody any condolences when they beat out airline chevys.

If they really wanted to improve the food offerings, they don't need to do renovations for that.

Yes I have been to both and also AA flagship lounge at LAX numerous time! You're right! Other airlines' offering aren't exactly great either. Though as Cathay Boy pointed out CX prides itself as a premier airline so when they brag about their flagship lounge like the Wing F passengers (like myself) would be drawing comparison with QF F lounge at SYD and not MH F lounge or AA flagship lounge.

I'm glad to see CX responding so swiftly to feedback. it probably indicates just how unrelenting the negative comments have been though.
CX missed the boat completely when they remodeled the F Wing. The acoustics are terrible, and that's very apparent in the Haven. When it's busy, you quickly notice the area is devoid of any soft furnishings so noise travels terribly. Outside in the main area noise travels terribly too, but that's mainly because it's exposed to the terminal below.
So kudos to CX. Now lets hope they remodel the very lackluster menu and the...ahem...hopeless service. I'm still mesmerized The Peninsula trashes their reputation in such a way.

Then it's the lounge spacing. The openness invites noise from the airport, and the acoustics is horrible (obviously the designer never considered it), and made the lounge sounded like a zoo when it is full. Again, magazine stacks and Apple stations sections are poorly thought out with dead space.
Finally, the Hell... er... I meant the Haven. The old lounge looks and feels like a restaurant. The Haven looks like a glorified cafeteria. The old lounge you get good foods with a ham/roast beef cutting station. New lounge you get "fried rice" with shrimp chips.
However, I do agree that something major must have been reported for them to shut down Haven like this, with Pier under renovation. Rats infections perhaps?

I've said it from day one, the remodel made the F lounge WORSE, not better. The Cabanas are horribly designed with a lot of wasted space. I had a client that used to be in interior design business, and he said if he drew that blue print to any reputable commercial services builder he would be laugh out of the room.

you do realised designing an architectural project is a two-way stress. what client wants and what designer wants can usually be very different. not to mention how many people are involved from the start (architect's concepts) to finish (finishing touches like flower arrangements), and anything in between (furnitures). (architects do not usually involved in the finishing touches). The final decision is almost always drawn by the clients, with mutual arrangement of course.

as for the WING noise
it will be noisy
its open air-many people like that
there is a reason CX offers 4 other lounges at its hub
each caters to a slightly different preference- you want quiet and peace go to the Bridge and or Pier
do not go to the WING and complain- it is for the people who like open spaces
