I am thinking it is getting a bit weird. Maybe a system error in EF.

It does say op by CX.and it is HKG.

The flight schedules - 1QR and 1CX flight daily:

QR815/CX9201 HKG0130/ DOH1530 - DAILY
CX645/QR5800 HKG1840/ DOH2250 - DAILY

CX640/QR5801 DOH0145/ HKG1440 - DAILY
QR816/CX9200 DOH0745/ HKG2045 - DAILY

So QR have canned one of their flights and give it to CX.

Appears to be a 333 op by CX.

Agreed: while QR has many charms, it's slanty A330 beds aren't one of them.*

*The only exception is if I'm paying J out of my own pocket on holiday to Europe, in which case their fares are quite reasonable and Finnair-like. For business trips, clearly BA/CX are still much preferred.

this is what is called an alliance partnership...

I suppose QR understands CX as they both have only 1 hub.

Hopefully QR/CX relationship extends further with CX codesharing to Africa and QR to North Est Asia

But what 333 will CX send to DOH? I can't see W/R/E so are they going to send their regional 330? or just that they are not yet loaded on EF?

I highly doubt that CX would send their regional planes all the way to DOH for an 8+ hour flight, especially when all Middle East flights (DXB, JED, RUH, BAH) are currently operated by 33Gs...

Would be pretty crap to be in that new regional J for 7+ hours. Although I like the AVOD, you cannot get out of the window seats if the person in the aisle is extended, and I don't think it's good for a middle/long haul at all. It's a wonderful short-haul product I give CX kudos for that, but I would not want to fly in it to Sydney or the Middle East, for example.
