The flight to YVR I took yesterday brought me over the 1 mm mark, but I did not receive anything.

Usually it is the flight after you hit 1mm I believe.
Glad to hear people have multiple experiences, unlucky me I guess... |
CB - what milestone did you hit and what did you experience, it might be worth a thread on tips on how to ensure your booking shows the milestone to see what people get from it.

Well I took the first flight after hitting 1 mm last night. There was an opup but it was because PEY was full. I will just "count" that as a milestone opup.:D

At some point this year I should hit twenty years and two million miles. Let's hope I get something special!

Hit 2.5mm on way to London before Xmas - Upgraded and was told about it.
Upgraded on way back - Oversold. These are the things which are very much appreciated by me and keep loyalty to CX an easy thing to do |
Hi FT fellows,
Wondering if anyone has had experience that after hitting a milestone (250K/500K), if the flight is a short haul one, could you ask for a 'delayed' milestone upgrade, say at a subsequent long-haul flight? Thanks a lot! Kiki |

i tried that once but was told the upgrade had already been processed and i was already seated in the higher class (this was on the segment that would take me over 1mm), so i couldn't change anything. I figured oh well that was my 1mm upgrade and assumed my next leg (a long-haul segment) wouldn't be getting the J-F milestone upgrade since it was already burned. However, on the return sector (after I already crossed 1mm) i indeed was upgraded to F and was told this was also part of the milestone. So it seems like I got two flights a week apart as part of the 1mm milestone. So either way I was very happy with CX, but wasn't sure if I got 2x upgrades because a.) 1mm milestones are a special milestone that gives 2x, b.) because I mentioned something about it during the previous flight (which was one week prior), or c.) something else. don't really know but it was a nice surprise. |

that's because there isn't a milestone at 250k. the first one is 500k.

I have no idea but based on my gut feel, I doubt this is the case.
I highly doubt there's any milestone that's more special than another. Unless you were also crossing an anniversary at the same time. The agent probably input some note into the system while/after you checked in. |
