It is worse for me. I had covid a month ago, so I wouldn't need a test until July. Now I'll need to look for testing places in the USA again.

They won't just drop it all right away. They've always been very strict and cautious.

Lets just start by ascertaining the current on-arrival tests (and quarantine...) are completely eliminated as the first step... Then, if it is an antigen in lieu of pcr , would still require the whole process (book/take the test etc) with the sole benefit being it is cheaper...Still better to the current pcr requirements indeed!

I've done this a few times (when I didn't get the sticker anyway) and it worked every time.. although I guess this will no longer be necessary.

QR code on PCR test
Hey folks,
did my pcr test today in Colombia - came back negative in less than 4 hrs. Hopefully it is the last time I have to go through this.
question: the results don’t have a QR code on the document - is this a problem?

If you pay for a PCR test in Canada for travel, you also get results in four hours. If you take a PCR test, because you are sick, in Canada you get results pretty quickly too. However if you take a PCR test at an airport after landing from abroad the results can take forever, what does that tell you?

Official changes starting Feb 28th:
Rapid antigen tests will be accepted for entry into Canada if taken within 24 hours before departure. Tests with online supervision will be accepted.
Eligible travellers leaving Canada and returning within 72 hours won't need to provide a test.
No more mandatory arrival testing. Travellers may be randomly selection upon arrival for testing but won't be required to quarantine.
Free rapid tests will be given to arriving travellers but they're to be used on a voluntary basis.
Unvaccinated children under 12 won't need to isolate anymore.
Global travel advisory will be lifted.
