raises hand slightly...
Although, it has become a great movie player for little lcohen999's when we fly
P.S. there is only one Pre Check style lane and that is YYZ TRANSBORDER.
Every other Nexus lane, seems to operate in the same fashion as all other lanes, with a shorter line.

Laptop in or out is one thing but could they please standardize the bin deal. YUL carry on bag, laptop bag HAVE to be in a bin. YYZ no bin this week, bin 2 weeks ago. YVR no bins.
And slightly off topic there was MRS 3 days ago, cameras, hard drives, extra batteries, and power bars needed to be out, thought I was in PEK!

Its hit and miss. At T3 YYZ TB, I have always had to pull it out at the Nexus lane, at T1 I try and ask, most times its been keep it in the bag. Oddly enough, CPAPs are out of bag.

Going through the Nexus security line at YYZ Transborder, we were told that we need to take out our laptops from our carry-ons. Upon inquiring, I was told by the CATSA screener that the policy changed today. The other benefits (jackets/shoes stay on) were not changed.
Anyone else run into this ?

Went through YYZ transborder Nexus on May 4, laptop in.
But considering that liquids must still be out, and all other high metal content items (watches, shoes in many cases, change, etc) are going to cause secondary screening anyways and so must be out/off, don't really see the benefit in being able to leave laptop in (even if it was done more consistently).
I agree with Aspan, bigger hassle is the whole bin/no bin fiasco. Some force you to put it in a bin, others seem to react like "Why the heck did you put that in a bin?!", and then others stop the train to put a bin face down between you and the previous person in line. Like many FT'ers I am all about maximizing efficiencies to get through security ASAP, so this inconsistency frustrates me to no end.

My experience in TB NEXUS lane had liquids IN the bag, as per the sign, showing a bag of liquids and an arrow pointing into the carryon bag. (In fact, I almost never do remove the liquid bag from the larger bag. I forget. Never had it mentioned. But I imagine that on the Xray that overlapping bags and bag-within-bag look the same.)

I should have clarified. My experiences was T1 domestic. Left liquids in bag, never had an issue, no one said a thing. (consistently)

I said something at one point was told it is policy across the country; my response was; you should try traveling the said country and see for your self.
It really does bug me because the everything in the bins slows things down considerably (bag log of bins).

I was told that the bags in bin rule is for when they have the system that automatically "pulls" a bin aside for additional searching when the person watching the screen sees something.
