10 hours layover at YVR--what to do?

yep, Canada is not USA junior. 
^On another note, if you have luggage, you can leave it at the airport, and visit the city hands free (it costs $4 or $5 CAD, you can easily find it in the baggage claim area, the domestic terminal). Then my suggestion, buy one day public transit pass for $9 CAD and go to Downtown, then from Waterfront station take the Seabus to Lonsdale Quay for lunch. There's a lot to see and visit, those ten hours will be like two hours of fun. I'd personally avoid the hotel, just because sleeping is not as fun as visiting Vancouver, you can sleep later during your flight. Don't miss the beauty!
