Help with CDW
Hi, I need some help with deciphering what does the following mean in the rental conditions:
I assume that 6.800 is the daily cost for CDW, what is 64.500?
Sorry for asking a noob question, I am more of an Avis and Hertz person.
Code:
Coverage: CDW/LDW is optional. Purchase of LDW includes damages for theft or total loss to the rented vehicle and third party responsibility to a maximum of approximately 13,600.00 USD. In case of roll over a deductible of 1,000.00 USD will apply only for car groups F, J, K and O. Prices listed below are in CLP. Non-Waivable Responsibility (NWE) ACCEPTED DECLINED IF IF CAR GROUP COST LDW LDW STOLEN ROLLOVER A,B,C,D,E,G,H 6.800 64.500 Full Value 642.000

Budget has 3 insurance options:
LDW: Loss Damage Waiver. Basically covers their car if it's damaged/stolen. That's what the $64.50 appears to be.
SLI: Supplemental Liability Insurance. Basic liability insurance covering bodily injury/property damage
PAE: Personal Accident & Effects. For accident/injury/personal property.

Not sure what the $6.80 is, though.

Since the OP was quoted rates in Chilean pesos (CLP), I'm guessing that he may be renting from Budget in Chile, where Budget's insurance offerings might be very different from those in the U.S.
To the OP: How will you be paying for the rental? Certain credit cards provide free CDW coverage for rentals charged to the card. Does yours?

As for my CC - as far as I know, none of the UK-issued cards provide CDW coverage.
