A few tips and tricks
.
A few tips and tricks for a memorable experience with Brittish Airlines:
1: Your chances for an upgrade are much better on the upper deck of a 777.
2: When flying in Club World late at night, it is perfectly acceptable to relieve oneself in the shoes of their neighbor.
3: Regardless of which class you're traveling in, you can gain access to the Concorde Room by saying "PUCCI sent me" in a hushed voice and a wink.
4: When the FA asks "You F'Coffee Sir?" You should laugh hysterically and clap loudly - they really like that.
5: The gate agents at T7 are known to give upgrades more often.
6: Try to get a F seat from LHR to CDG. They serve unlimited Krug champagne.
7: Do not, under any circumstances disclose where you heard this advice.

Soon as you start shopping at Tesco.
2. I travel widely in Y class on many airlines. Why should I expect Y on BA to be any different?
Don't expect, it's at the back of the plane like every other airline.
3. My favorite airlines are British and Quantas. Will that get me an upgrade?
Never heard of them

1. I don't have any status with any program. When might I expect my first upgrade?
As soon as you make it clear to the check-in staff how important you are and how much your/your best friend's/boss's business is worth. If all else fails ask them if they Know Who You Are.

Why should you expect it to be the same?
3. My favorite airlines are British and Quantas. Will that get me an upgrade?
Only if you include it in your check-in discussion as per 1 above

Or lucky as in getting to tickle PUCCI's fancy?
Since she's not around to defend herself, let's leave it to the imagination. The last thing a wayward flier wants is a smack upside the head with a diamond hairbrush.

Hmm, the only real way to entice a check in agent into giving you an upgrade is to be REALLY cute and flirt big time. Preferably in tight fitting jeans that hug all your assets - that works for both male and female in some cases
If a female, find a male agent to check in with and be sure you have long blonde hair and low cut top on. We have plenty at LGW who'd fall for that!
And most important of all - NEVER ask a check in agent for the upgrade. Guaranteed not to be offered. Mind you we always like a laugh - nothing better than when a passenger tells us they fly with BA in business all the time yet they're still a blue card holder
