Sorry Phil but it's unlikely I'll make this one. I'm on a 0500 start the next day so my bed normally welcomes me about 8pm, just the time these things normally get going.

However, if there's a pre-DO Do, do let me know!

I have not given up on trying (daily) to escape to HKG for New Year on miles/a decent fare but unless I get lucky I think I will be stuck in the UK after all...in which case, beer is the only answer. I'm a possible...cheers PhilH ^

Well it's not that we did not like the idea but 10 days in BOS over the Christmas and New Year seemed more interesting...so I'm afraid we are not even 'possibles' any longer!

I'm afraid I won't be able to make this do as I'm in Austria with the family, but have a great time.

I shall be curled up in 62K on the way to CAI, so won't be there. But I will have a drop of 'poo to toast you nonetheless.

Would love to be there, except I shall be somewhere over Tashkent or there abouts enroute from HKG Let's hope I'll curled up in 62K like Sh. ^

Having looked at trains and planes between Manchester and London, the flights are gonna set me back £150+ and the trains between Christmas and New Year require 2-3 changes resulting in a 5 hour journey .

Subsequently I'm going to have to withdraw from this one unfortunately.

Still, looking on the bright side, it pays for another trip to Siberia

I now know that I will be "working" that week before heading off to GRU on Sunday 30th. So if the event is in the City I would love to come along. All the better if it starts with a boozy lunch somewhere!

After a slight change in plans, I'll now be in Tenerife that week, so I'll have to bow out.

Enjoy yourselves though!

I even tried looking at LPL-DUB-LON with FR

OK, I've looked at National Express and they want a tenner. Its 4hrs 30mins the journey. I'm just having flash backs of bursting into laughter at the look on some of the passengers faces after they'd come out of the on board toilets. Two words....stale p!ss!

Perhaps you should upgrade me too a maybe for the time being .
