Sorry - in Orlando for Christmas and the Carribean for New Year.

Whatever happened to the good old mid-week small do somewhere in the City where we could enjoy ourselves watching MCS? suffer from eating a curry.

I'll be in the country this time around. Whether or not I'll be able to attend is still a possibility.

Please mark me down as a possible - I'm toying with the idea of a RTW this winter to get away to warmer climes and to finally fulfil my dream of spending New Year's in SYD (and getting some much needed mileage towards my FTL requalification while I'm at it), and I just might take advantage of the 24-hour connection rule if I can get away with it.

Anyway, I'm subscribed, will keep an eye on this and will let you know nearer the time...

What the hell, why not

EDITED TO ADD

The Hoxton is available for only £59 a night. Payment required at the time of booking, non changeable from what I can gather.

I've gone and booked a cheapo room at the Hilton Wembley for £59 on a fully flex basis. I couldn't give a toss where it is, I'm just thinkin' of the bmi miles

Smile

Thanks.

As a very recent joiner to FT, I would certainly like to attend. I am returning to London on that day so should be able to attend. Strong possible.

If I'm not out to OSL that day, I'll do my best to attend.

I'm at home for Xmas this year but not sure if that will be LON or OSL yet. Please add me to the possible list.

Isn't simply everyone in the Southern Hemisphere at that time?

That makes the obvious places to hold it Rio, Cape Town and Sydney. Bangkok, although not in the Southern Hemisphere, seems to be the fourth plausible location. I vote for the first of these. Since all the seats in F returning from Brazil January 4-7 inclusive are taken, it looks like most FTers already have their tickets.

No, everyone is not in the Southern Hemisphere at that time, some of us have to work! That's why were drowning our sorrows, but we will be fondly thinking of absent friends (just a few days early) sunning themselves down south of the equator.

Looks like I'm off so chances are, I'll make it. Wooo.

Any decisions on venues and any suggestions from you London-based FTers on decent hotels nearby?!

Cheers

Put me down as a possible although I am a teetotal veggie (if such creatures are allowed on these hallowed events ).
