That made me burst out laughing. I never make cakes - I am not much interested in them as I am more salt than sweet. However I adore Christmas Pudding and - yes - that gets the brandy. As both my cooker hobs are induction (I learned on gas and swore that I would never change. I did as they are truly excellent) flambeing them is a challenge.

I will see what I can do - maybe whilst Him Indoors is watching France v Argentina I will have 5 minutes to myself.

He can console himself. There’s enough Gin in the house to console 10 Drama Queens. I suspect that he’ll be partying instead.
