Or roast beef, rather than carpaccio...

I imagine there are going to be teething issues with this service change, probably with a lot of pain for crews not used to doing this type of service, but it's great to see *some* form of return to a normal service!

So here’s today’s menu from the BA275 to LAS which is still on the ground here in LHR at 1840, apparently due to a late incoming aircraft from PHX and the need to call a member of crew off standby!

It’ll be interesting to see how the service pans out in reality. The CC on our SH flight prior to this one were quite scathing and predicted a shambles. The crew on this flight said they’d done the service before, pre-COVID, so hopefully their experience will shine thorough!

I am sure it will but if that’s the starting place, my fears are absolutely realized and I will continue to book away from BA J whenever possible. On a westbound transatlantic, that would be a bit absurd and i would roll my eyes a lot especially if I was planning a nap. On an eastbound flight I would be livid if there was meal activity going that long.

Are carts still gone?

I notice that the menu cover page invites you to go to the Club Kitchen. Is there actually anything there?

Is the bulgar salad on the main meal the same as the one on the second meal, just worded differently?!

Surely in the world of BA that's an enhancement as now they are of a more extended vintage...

Labneh is in starters for both first and second meals and one of the mains for the second meal, must be very trendy!

Lunch, not sure these are king prawns to be honest, a bit overcooked but reasonably tasty

Cheeseboard, back to normal in some ways, cheese is ok but not great

Tofu, mrs firstlight didn’t like this very much
