Does First wing security open at 5am along with the lounge or do they open a bit beforehand?

It's 5 am, more or less on the dot. At least so I am informed, I do my utmost not to be there at that time.

No line for check-in at 9am this morning but only one security Lane is open and there are maybe 60-70 people in front of us, moving at a snails pace. Ridiculous

Any reports on guest access policy through the FW this w/e ?

Also any reports on regular security early this morning ? We have 3 people on a single booking: Gold, Silver and Blue. Blue does not have fast track, which I find odd, so it looks like the 3 of us will be slumming it through regular security at 05.30 tomorrow, unless I can blag an extra guest into the lounge through the FW (which sounds even less likely than improbable).

When this happens and you lose the ability to go straight into the lounge, can you use tge 'secret' door immediately after the far right security lane, or is that only for Concorde room etc?

I didn't know whether it was a corridor or not.

Apologies if the tongue in cheek humour didn’t come across.

The answer to your question is basically no, you can’t go in the ccr to get across to the other side and on to the gf.

No problem. Thanks. I just wasn't sure if it was a corridor leading to both, having not made use of it before.

At 04:50 this morning First Wing was empty. Unfortunately we should have been at T3

First HEX was until 05:22 and Fast Track in T3 opened at 05:45
Managed to visit Cathay First lounge for 20 minutes though - very nice indeed

Just come through, no queues to be seen and plenty of seats in the First lounge.

No queues this morning (Saturday 16th) at 9.30am. Both scanners working and security staff waiting for passengers to come through.

T5 quiet generally in all zones with either no queues or a handful of people. North and South security showing 3 people on the wait time screens.

First lounge fairly quiet also.

Slightly off topic, if one is Gold can they use the first wing check in and security (flying Club Europe)? And can you take one guest (who is flying on the same flight but ECO)?

Thanks
