A few updates:

G-MIDT went to Gatwick yesterday morning as mentioned by Lynyrd above and was put to work immediately
G-XLEG is close to landing back at LHR from Manila as BA9172. It was suppose to go directly into storage at MAD, so perhaps this is just a short stop before it heads across to Spain
G-XLEK went back into service yesterday on the SFO route
G-XLED hasn't flown since May 8th, so I have marked it as in storage as it seems to be receiving some attention now that G-XLEK is back in service
G-VIIP is due back to Gatwick from CWL this evening as BA9174 (ETA into LGW is around 7.45pm)
G-VIIR heads to CWL around 4pm from LGW as BA9173

Out of curiosity
G-VIIP was at CWL for quite a while and looks like a straight swap out with VIIR today- do we think these are in for C-checks, D-checks or something else?

Given these aircraft aren't having any interior changes, it must be for a C or D check as VIIP was there for just over 4 weeks (11th April arrival) and VIIO was there for the same period of time between February and March. On that basis I would expect VIIR to reappear at Gatwick sometime during the week of June 13th.

Airbus 320 G-GATR just leaving Madrid for Heathrow after storage. I expect this will position to LGW after a few days.
That leaves G-GATP and G-MIDX at Madrid. I would not be surprised if both of these ended up at Gatwick for the summer peak after travelling home via LHR in the next few weeks.

2 x IBEX A320’s are planned to arrive at LGW later today on lease to BA. The aircraft in question are EC-JFG and EC-JFH. They will join EC-LLE and EC-LUS which are already operating at LGW.

Both aircraft are planned to begin operating from LGW on Monday with EC-JFG operating BA2644 to MLA and EC-JFH operating BA2786 to BOD.

The final 2 Finnair leased A321s, for BA, will arrive into Heathrow on 31st May.

The aircraft will fly into LHR as:

AY1335
AY1339

This will bring the total number of Finnair A321s operating for BA to 4.

BA will also lease a Titan A321 in June. At the moment only 1/2 LGW flights are due to be operated by it, but who knows if that will expand.

Rumour has it that 50% of the new cabin crew joining BA Euroflyer have jump ship to join Wizz Air for better pay and conditions!

I am not convinced that Wizz Air have pay and conditions that are better from what I have heard. They also seem to be cancelling quite a few flights from LGW. I prefer fact to rumour as they can just be trouble making.
Surely people cannot undertake training that has been paid for by the company and simply walk away with no financial consequences? Seems mad if they can.

My (very reliable, but you will have to take me at my word!) source says it’s ‘not half’, but ‘some’, which I take to be more than ‘a few’. Any further clarification will require a trip to the pub…
