You do know that the Astra jab has been recognised by the CDC as ok for entry to the US? It has been for months.... All vaccines approved by the WHO are acceptable. Even those on trail vaccines will be able to travel.

Might be bad news for my status extension in May 22 but good news for my IAG shares I've bought last Friday after I've seen the queue to get into Galleries Club

After travel information for people fully vaccinated with an FDA-authorized vaccine or a vaccine authorized for emergency use by the World Health Organization:
- Get tested with a viral test 3-5 days after travel.
- If your test is positive, isolate yourself to protect others from getting infected.
- Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms; isolate and get tested if you develop symptoms.
- Follow all state and local recommendations or requirements after travel.
* This guidance applies to COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration: Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson (J&J)/Janssen COVID-19 vaccines. This guidance can also be applied to COVID-19 vaccines that have been listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization (e.g. AstraZeneca/Oxford). See WHO’s website for more information about WHO-authorized COVID-19 vaccines.

Bbc @ 1513 ...
the travel ban for people living in the uk and eu, that was introduced last march by donald trump, is finally going to be relaxed. An announcement is expected later today from the us administration.
It looks as though those who can demonstrate they have been double-vaccinated will, from november, be allowed to enter the us.
One british official told me the decision had come completely out of the blue. Prime minister boris johnson had been planning to raise it tomorrow in his meeting at the white house with the president, but with little hope of making progress.
Though details have not been given, it is thought that the relaxation of the rules will come in time for people to travel over thanksgiving.

Are you able to access restaurants and bars etc. in New York if you have been vaccinated with AZ? Heard about problems earlier in the year but wondered if that was still the case. Still good news though! The world is slowly opening up again
