Please be aware, that under the current restrictions, the US CDC only recognises the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine, if you have the Astra jab, then you are still technically unvaccinated!
Officials said the AstraZeneca vaccine, which has been used widely in the UK and EU, is also likely to be accepted. But it is not yet clear whether other vaccines, such as those used in China and Russia, will be accepted by US authorities.
Any idea why there was a queue? Is that reduced capacity or more people flying business you think?
I guess a combination of a) reduced capacity b) more people accepting the rather aggressively marketed upgrades and c) more flying in general (in example my flights to MUC were 75% full on Friday and sold out back to LHR on Sunday including a CE cabin until row 13). Plus T5 looked much more like PreCovid. So thats my fundamental analysis of IAG
Re/ the queue, about 30 people were waiting for entry to GC South Friday at about 820am. And as expressed in another post, no Champagne available after 645am
Programs: Gold, Some red card and some hotel cards.

Sounds like a good time to fire up the A380s and get them back on LAX, MIA and SFO.
I'd settle for seeing cancelled cities like SAN back on the roster with some level of confidence that it wouldn't be cancelled 3 weeks prior to departure.

SAN is back on the roster (was announced Saturday and starting in October) and wide open for reward bookings 😉
