Current Status of BA Call Center
Hi,
I had travel initially planned for Friday which was cancelled weeks ago so I waited until 72 hours out like the guidelines suggest. I’ve got a new date in mind I’d like to travel but BA.com isn’t letting me rebook at all, only pointing me to call.
Tried Silver line, all calls are being answered one number now apparently: .0800 727800
Tried a few times and haven’t been able to have my call answered, just tells you too busy and hangs up. Anyone else?

What’s annoying is that you still have to follow the option guide 3 times before they tell you they can’t take the call.
They’ve also probably put the most solemn sounding person I’ve ever heard as the voice when the call answers

I have had to call up once a day for the last 3 days for reward bookings that can't be done online and a CS issue. The Gold line got me through in under 2 mins each time and the agents great.

I’m having the same problem as CT-UK for a reward booking but only silver. This is to book a CX/Cathay Dragon flight LHR-HKG-PEN return but BA won’t price return leg, any suggestions other than to keep trying BA call centre?

I got through yesterday morning on the normal gold number, as I wanted a refund not voucher for a cancelled flight to Nairobi tomorrow. Followed the normal menu prompts and was talking to someone in well under 5 minutes. It was the return leg of an NBO LHR NBO ticket nested in an LHR NBO LHR ticket, and was priced in US$. It’s gone to ticketing to calculate the refund due... I fear it’ll be a lot less than half the fare paid, but let’s see! Once I’m within 72 hours of the NBO LHR leg of the original booking I’ll call again...

I posted a couple of days ago in the refunds thread about this: using the same number, as a Silver member, I was speaking to someone in the Newcastle office within 5 minutes. This was mid-morning UK time.

I’m a lowly Blue and have been calling constantly for 3 days. Same message every time to say the call can’t be taken and the line goes dead. Tried Twitter too but no response.
Tweeted AA the other day and had a reply in less than 5 minutes.
I know the call centres are snowed under but surely the management could draft in reserves.
