Hi All, am hoping to jump on a Club Suite LHR - JFK on 27/02 and back 01/03

Looks like BA173 and BA112 haven't reliably CS the past few weeks - Both showing as 747's on BA.com at present.

Any ideas or pattern to securing a retrofitted 777?

TIA

At this point in time it's luck of the draw, it will depend on the day/flight, and may change until the last minute for operational reasons.

Personally I would aim for a 747 UD seat until the odds are better.

If you are able to, take an AA J service and you will be guaranteed a good hard product.

BA on the return, however, as it is easier to sleep.

Hi all,

We've just booked onto a LHR to JFK on Club Suite.

We're super keep on front mini cabin but the ideal seats aren't available. From the choice of what we have, are these seats ok? We're a little worried about row 8 being too close to curtain and galley.

We would prefer to both have window seats.

Cheers

Our JFK - LHR flight BA114 over Easter has gone back to CW after showing CS for the past few months. Not the end of the world as we booked pre CS announcement so never expected it but it would have been nice all the same.

G-VIIK is currently en route from Cardiff CWL to london LHR after being fitted with the club suites, with a slightly delayed entry into service. eta 16:58. This will be the third BA 772 with club suites to enter service!

Booked JFK-LHR roundtrip this summer, picking times specifically for CS flights because we wanted to see what the hype was all about. Unfortunately, got equipment swapped on the outbound leg first into the old 747, and just a few days ago on the inbound leg as well. Flights are not until July. BA were friendly and offered to refund our seat selection fees, which was nice I suppose. So, just to add to prior words of warning for those who are thinking of flying BA just to try the CS hard product -- we're now sitting 8 abreast and facing backwards in J, and while I understand that's been the norm for quite some time for BA regulars, it's pretty jarring on our end!

I agree that the safest bet, as noted, is to fly the very good new J seats on AA, and hold off until CS is adopted more widely.

Wasn’t to sure where to post this so apologies - Feel free to move the post if needed and if suited to a better thread.

Received an email this morning saying our flights had been cancelled (out and inbound) to Male 24th Jan & 1st Feb 2021.

After the panic from my partner I carefully read what they sent. Its actually just a plane change and departing airport has changed from Gatwick to Heathrow.

BA2043 and BA2042 has now changed to BA61 and BA60.

Logged into MMB to choose our new seats to find that its Club Suite not Cub World although its still titled Club world on the booking. So guessing this will be a refurbed 777.

One thing I couldn’t work out, Why does it start from row 5? You cant scroll up to see row 1 - 4, although I’m not Gold so wont be able to book 1A I thought I could get Row 2?Is this the normal on Club Suite? Wonder why the change has happened also from departing Gatwick to Heathrow. Either airport is fine for me so doesn’t make the slightest difference.

Rows 1-4 are likely to be First, so CW starts at row 5.

One at a time is not a good effort.

Presumably that's why they're doing two at a time...
