PS ... TXL-MAD/HEL- HAV Return = 2*140 TP in J

TXL-LHR-MAD-HAV return = 2*(40+40+140) TP in J and its cheaper .....
i will have 1600 tp by then. I don’t need even more. But I wanted to save some €. 880 € Return in quite a lot!
But thanks anyway.

Your expectations must be pretty low! I have travelled IB long haul recently and whilst it was functional I won’t be seeking them out with any gusto in future.

Yes, you’re right ..... they were low !

From past experience, I am minded to set expectations low for all IAG-owned carriers ; but in this case can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised

(and Cuba itself was a joy .....)

Why not take a OW route to a nearby island, and then just do the "last mile" on a local island carrier? That should open up connections and put almost all of your trip on OW

I had a IB long haul from PVG in the last few months and it was super, particularly seat wise. I thought it knocked spots off the CW product.

Back to the question, I would say Mex is a good option here. I recently took interjet on a longish short haul (3 hours international) and it was perfectly decent.
