PS ... TXL-MAD/HEL- HAV Return = 2*140 TP in J
TXL-LHR-MAD-HAV return = 2*(40+40+140) TP in J and its cheaper .....

Your expectations must be pretty low! I have travelled IB long haul recently and whilst it was functional I won’t be seeking them out with any gusto in future.

From past experience, I am minded to set expectations low for all IAG-owned carriers ; but in this case can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised
(and Cuba itself was a joy .....)

Back to the question, I would say Mex is a good option here. I recently took interjet on a longish short haul (3 hours international) and it was perfectly decent.
