Pretty sure BA gave me a travel voucher for the bus between LHR-LGW when I had a through ticket. Can't for the life remember which route I was on although GLA was the starting/end point.
Now a bit of drivel for Ross....I had a Marc Bolan hairstyle and wore bell bottom trousers so it wasn't exactly recent.

I do this many times a year to various locations as live in Jersey and BA only fly to LGW and no it is not included in the through ticket. If you have luggage it takes much longer than you imagine. I personally would not risk a 3.5 hour transit. Getting baggage alone can take an age

Good advice, but we never transfer through London airports. But Ill keep it in mind
